Irene (Lynne McGranger) and Bella (Courtney Miller) have been left in pieces following Tommy’s (Adam Sollis) visit to the house, where he forced himself on Bella and was intercepted by Irene, when she ended up being triggered by his words and battering him with a champagne bottle. While Bella is more skilled at acting normally, Irene is struggling to hold it together.
Leah (Ada Nicodemou) finds Irene looking stressed in her car, where she’s secretly freaking out over the John Doe article in the paper. When Leah asks if she’s OK, Irene does her best to cover, saying she has to run some errands. However, Leah suggests she get a coffee at the Diner first.
While inside, Irene is shaken to discover from Colby (Tim Franklin) that there’s been a breakthrough in the case – John Doe has been identified, and Tommy’s car was found on her street. Colby says it’s only a matter of time before they find the perpetrator, and this conversation pushes Irene closer to the edge.
Irene leaves a message for Bella, asking her to come home so they can get their story straight. When she returns, Irene mentions what Colby said at the Diner, and believes it’s only a matter of time before the police turn up at her door.
The next day, Bella is stunned to discover that Irene has decided to turn herself in. She leaves to go to the police station, and Bella rushes to the Pier apartment to find Colby. She urges him to drive her to the police station, and explains the entire situation on the way. Struggling as she recounts the story, Colby is filled with rage over what Tommy did to her. They continue to rush to Irene – will they get to her in time?
