Willow (Sarah Roberts) and Dr Alex (Zoe Ventoura) have become friends since the new doctors’ arrival in the Bay. With Alex employing Willow as her personal trainer, the two have spent more time together and established a decent bond.
With Jasmine (Sam Frost) abducted and the news that Tommy (Adam Sollis) has been murdered, Willow is feeling overwhelmed and tells Marilyn (Emily Symons) she thinks the world has gone mad. While Marilyn tries to reassure her that all will be resolved soon, Willow struggles to remain calm.
Her emotional state worsens when she learns from Mason (Orpheus Pledger) that Robbo has gone nuts in the hospital and is holding one of Jasmine’s kidnappers hostage. When she can’t get through to Colby (Tim Franklin) to find out what’s going on, Mason offers to buy her a drink in Salt to distract her.
Willow breaks down while talking to Mason in the bar, saying that if Robbo is acting so crazy, this probably means Jasmine is already dead. While Mason tries to comfort her, there’s nothing he can say that will calm her down or convince her otherwise.
The next morning, Alex comes into the Surf Club, where Mason tells her Willow hasn’t come in for work. Alex goes to look for her, and finds her on the beach. She offers to hang out with her until they have more information about Jasmine, and Willow is grateful for her support.
Later, while Alex is at the hospital and talking to Colby, she suggests that he should go and update Willow on the situation. Willow is overjoyed to see Colby and learn that Jasmine is safe and well, excitedly accepting a ride from him to the hospital to be reunited with her friend.
Willow tells Alex how grateful she is for her support, saying that she’s an amazing person and she feels like she’s known her for years. The atmosphere changes, and Alex reacts by suddenly kissing a stunned Willow. Suddenly worried she’s made a mistake, Alex apologises and flees before Willow can even come up with a response. What does this mean for their friendship?
