Ashley Roberts has completely switched up her look in a major hair transformation, after ditching her usual ‘do for a heavy full fringe. The former Pussycat Doll, 40, debuted her new hairstyle in a series of snaps shared with her 688K Instagram followers, cleverly captioning one of her posts “she bangs”.
Fans of the star have flocked to the comment section to share their love, with one person branding her “hair goals”.
“Just stunning! Makes me want a fringe,” one fan writes.
“Loving the new bangs,” another says, while a third comments: “Hair goals.”
Ashley’s fellow Heart Radio presenter Amanda Holden has also praised the star on her new hairstyle, writing “Love this hair,” while posting a fire emoji.
In her most recent post, Ashley styles her new fringe with the rest of her hair scraped back into a low ponytail. She pairs the look with a dark smokey-eye and rosy pink lip colour, which looks fabulous against her pink sequin suit.
Fans appear to love this bold look, with one fan commenting: “Serving some legally blonde vibes.”
“Forget pretty in pink – you’re stunning in pink,” another says.
One fan claims the star’s new fringe looks just like a hairstyle she used to rock back in her pop star days – specifically in the Pussycat Dolls’ “Beep” music video.
“The bangs are giving 2005 beep performance and I live for it,” the comment says.
In the video, which has amassed over 146 million views on YouTube, Ashley can be seen sporting a similar full, blocky fringe with her tresses the same beachy blonde hue. This time, however, she’s opted for a much longer fringe, with her hair falling below her eyes. We’re not sure yet if Ashley’s new look is the result of a trip to the hairdresser or a clip-in faux fringe, but we’re loving this hairstyle on her.
Ashley’s transformation comes just a few short days after she revealed she was rushed to hospital during her time with the band, explaining there were fears she may have a brain aneurysm because of her busy schedule. Talking to Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing on his podcast Private Parts, Ashley said, “The thing was, being in a girl band, we make people a lot of money so….the schedule was outrageous.”
“I’m not going to lie, by the end I was breaking down. I was in the hospital,” she continued. “They thought I was having a brain aneurysm. I think it was just from going, going, going and my body was just shutting down really.”
The Pussycat Dolls were due to reunite for a tour in 2020, which was later cancelled when Covid-19 derailed their plans.
Front woman Nicole Scherzinger announced the news via Instagram, telling fans she was “incredibly saddened” that it wouldn’t go ahead, but whilst the tour was rumoured to take place at a later date, it’s still unclear when that will be.
