Bride bans dad and brother from wedding after they play cruel prank on fiancé

The months before a wedding are supposed to be joyous.

But one bride has found herself in an awkward position with some of her family members.

She was left distraught when her dad, brother, cousin and uncle played a cruel prank on her asthmatic fiancé.

Posting on Reddit, the bride revealed how her relatives fooled her partner by hiding his inhaler during a camping trip.

The 22-year-old explained how she grew up in a family where the men like to "prank and tease each other".

When she got engaged to her partner, her relatives joked about "running some tests" to see what type of man Tim is.

She explained: "They've done stuff like forcing him to play chess four times in a row, secretly slashing his tyres.

"They've asked questions like what joke he'd like to tell his future mother-in-law, opinions on abortion, Jesus, gender equality, etc.

"They also tested his fishing and hunting skills, overwhelmed him with hypothetical scenarios to test his decision-making abilities.

"And they kept calling him slow and soft. He has a medical condition (asthma) but they think he's making 'excuses'."

Although she's tried to make them stop, her dad accused her of "ruining the fun".

But things got worse during a three-day camping trip where her cousin, dad, brother and uncle hid Tim's inhaler.

She continued: "I exploded on them when they returned. Cousin asked if 'little Timmy ran to me to tattle'.

"I yelled that all four of them are uninvited to my wedding. My brother said it was a prank and they were going to give it back."

Her cousin is now begging to talk to the bride, although her dad reacted angrily getting the bride's mum involved.

And now she's telling her she may have exaggerated a bit as she urged her not to spoil the relationship with her family.

It's made her doubt herself, although many Reddit users jumped to her defence.

One said: "This doesn't sound like pranking but more like bullying."

They added: "Who slashes tyres as a prank? Or messes with someone's health as a prank? Just they just seem like big bullies to me."

Another commented: "I have asthma. This wasn't a prank. This was them seeing if he would literally die.

"Stealing someone's effing inhaler out in the wilderness is trying to kill that person.

"They didn't even stick around so if he had an attack, what would he do?"
