Cher has reportedly broken up with her much younger beau Alexander “AE” Edwards.
A source told TMZ Monday that the “Believe” singer, 76, and rapper, 37, ended their relationship “a couple weeks ago” but a reason for the split was not disclosed.
The former couple sparked engagement rumors in December 2022 when Cher was seen sporting a massive diamond ring worth a reported $250,000.
The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer even said at the time that she wished she could show her late mother, Georgia Holt, the ring her then-boyfriend gave her.
“Woke up Min ago,& 1st thing …B4 I Opened my eyes,I Thought…I Need 2 Run To Moms & Show Her my ring…’she Loves Diamonds,’” Cher previously tweeted.
“Before I realized it..I Had Little Tear,But Im sure this is natural,” she continued. “Bet Moms ears were burning Last Nite.We were telling Stories about her,WHAT A WOMAN.”

However, TMZ’s source claims that Cher and Edwards were never actually engaged but the pair just decided to “play into the speculation.”
Cher’s rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
The iconic singer has not addressed the rumored split herself on social media.
Cher and Edwards were together for only a few short months.
They were first romantically linked in November 2022 after they were seen holding hands on a date night in Los Angeles.
The duo got a lot of backlash at the time for their nearly 40-year age difference, but Cher staunchly defended it, tweeting, “haven’t You Got Anything Else 2 Do?! Let Me Explain…I DONT GIVE A [flying] FK WHAT ANYONE THINKS.”
The “I Got You Babe” singer then gushed later that month about how she and her new beau kiss “like teenagers.”
In March, Cher and Edwards made their red carpet debut at the Versace fall 2023 fashion show and shared a smooch for all to see.
It is unclear how soon after that the “Mermaids” star and musician called it quits.
Edwards previously dated Amber Rose, with whom he shares a 3-year-old son named Slash. Meanwhile, Cher, for her part, was married to Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman in 1964 and 1975, respectively.
