Everyone procrastinates at one time or another but one thing you'll always regret putting off to the last minute is taking your clothes out of the wash.
Now, one expert claims there is a precise time limit on how long you can leave your clothes sat there. Mary Futher, who goes by Madame Sweat, is known for sharing her tips and tricks on social media.
She has gained more than 660,000 followers by showing people how to avoid smells in their home or on their body. But this time, the cleaning whizz took to social media to reveal why clothes start to smell and how to avoid it.

In the video, which has gained more than 1,400 likes, she claims it is okay to leave your clothes in the machine after they've been washed.
But you shouldn't leave it for longer than 12 hours, as this is the maximum time you can let them sit for before they start to smell like mildew. Mary explained: "If you've let them sit for more than 12 hours, that's the cut off point."
If you do make the mistake of leaving it too long, she also shared the tricks she swears by to get rid of them. In the clip, she suggested using half a cup of baking soda with your normal detergent on the second wash to help banish the odour.
