Former Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has delighted fans on social media as she revealed a brand new hair transformation inspired by her favourite Friends character.
The 27 year old cobbles star, who recently became a mum for the first time, took to Instagram on Friday as she documented the transformation while sitting in the stylist’s chair.
Inspired by Jennifer Aniston ’s iconic 90’s look as Rachel Green in the long running US sitcom Friends, Lucy revealed that her platinum blonde locks had undergone a chop, with several stylish layers now visible in her shoulder length hair.
Prior to undergoing the chop, Lucy had sported a one length cut, with the star even losing several inches of length when she cropped her hair to a stylish bob back in January ahead of her son’s birth.
Lucy debuted the stylish “mum-cut” back in January, as she sought a practical but stylish hairdo to help her navigate the early stages of parenting.
Since the cut, Lucy has been allowing her hair to grow out, with the length clearly having increased in the three months since her past cut.
However, thanks to the styling on her new Rachel inspired ‘do, it allows the actress to add volume and movement without sacrificing any of her length.
The modern take on the 90’s classic revolves largely around cutting several layers into a long bob, or shoulder length hairstyle, with the layers adding a face framing dimension that highlights a wearers bone structure.
In addition, it’s also an incredibly versatile style, which can be worn straight, curled, tied up or left down – meaning there’s no shortage of possibilities for where you can wear the look.
This will no doubt have played a part in Lucy’s decision, as she continues to navigate the world of motherhood, since welcoming her son Sonny back in January.
The soap star welcomed her first child with partner and footballer Ryan Ledson at the end of January.
Since then, Lucy has kept fans and followers updated on Instagram as she adjusts to life as a first time mum.
From documenting milestones to sharing sweet moments together, Lucy has captured the hearts of fans everywhere, including earlier this week when she shared a string of images that saw her adorably cuddling her precious little one.
Taking to Instagram, the soap actress posted a collage of adorable black and white photos of herself with Sonny cuddling into her face as they both smile towards the camera.
