‘Covidiot’ blogger Arielle Charnas accused of stiffing Hamptons florist

Fashion influencer Arielle Charnas — who got flak for fleeing to the Hamptons in March after testing positive for the coronavirus — is now facing more criticism after a florist accused her of stiffing him on arrangements.

But she tells Page Six exclusively that she paid, and that the drama all stems from people’s “distorted view” of her.

In a deleted post, Water Mill florist Mark Masone accused Charnas of receiving five Mother’s Day arrangements and stopping her credit card payment on them two weeks later.

“This is disgusting behavior,” he wrote.

Charnas said it was a “miscommunication with someone on my team because I’ve never spoken to you.” A woman working at the store, Monique Wisniewski, said on social media: “Don’t ever lie . . . You spoke to ME.”

But Charnas told Page Six “We called numerous times to confirm the order was delivered . . . My assistant put a hold on the payment until we could hear from the florist directly. Once he contacted us, we reached out to resolve [the] situation immediately, and the florist was, of course, paid for his service.”

The fashion blogger with 1.3 million followers on Instagram said, “The media cycle around everything I do has gotten out of control . . . People are taking anything that happens to me and blowing it way out of proportion.”

She added, “I think people have a distorted view of me because of recent media coverage, which may be why this person felt the need to go to social media, but I am not the person they portray. I feel I have to speak out when a situation is clearly misrepresented, and I hope people can see there are two sides to every story they read about me.”

In March, Charnas was roasted online after she used her connections to get a coronavirus test, and then fled to the Hamptons with her family and a nanny after they all tested positive. Charnas, who says she had medical approval to leave town, has since apologized, as has her husband, Brandon.
