Emmerdale’s Charley Webb misses her long tresses as she says her ‘hair is gone’ in new clip

Plenty of us are familiar with the never ending cycle of wanting short hair, chopping it off, then immediately wanting to grow it back long again, and it seems celebrities are no different.

In her latest Instagram stories, former Emmerdale star Charley Webb has revealed her new shorter hairstyle – before immediately wondering if she should grow it back again.

The soap actress showed off her hair makeover on her Instagram stories, which revealed her locks had been cut to just below her shoulders, with the caption: “Hairs gone”, as she showed off her bouncy blow dry with Willow Smith’s Whip My Hair playing over the top.

Charley’s new ‘do saw her chop several inches off her hair, which previously reached her chest, although she kept her signature centre parting and blunt cut, styling it with oversized, loose beachy waves.

Despite only just getting it cut, Charley also added the caption: “Now I’m thinking, do I grow it back long?”, as she proves even celebrities aren’t immune to the inevitable circle of hairstyle conundrums

The former soap star, who played Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale until 2019, has been pretty consistent with her cut and colour over the last few years, opting for a subtle balayage with darker roots and mid-lengths, which brightens into a light blonde shade at the ends.

Charley also typically sticks to a mid-length cut, with a centre parting and subtle loose waves when it comes to styling. However, during her time on Emmerdaleshe looked very different.

Her time on the show saw her with much longer tresses that reached well below her chest, and rather than the subtle ombre colour that she has now, she was most often spotted with an all-over golden blonde shade instead.

Although she left the show back in 2019, Charley only recently braved the daring cut in February of this year, when she cut her long locks into a shoulder-skimming bob, complete with dark roots and blonde ends.

Since then, Charley has lightened up her hair once more with a brighter bronde shade all over, although she’s kept her lighter balayage towards the ends for a natural look.

Although her hair has grown longer since then, even after her most recent chop, it seems she’s contemplating whether or not to return to her Emmerdale-era length and let her hair grow long once more.

What do you think? Should she bring back the Debbie Dingle locks, or stick with her current shorter style? Let us know in the comments!
