Faye Winter’s Devon life with pup who saved her and supportive family

Former Love Islander Faye Winter has shared that her pup is her "reason for being" who has helped pull her through her recent heartache.

Faye, 27 and Teddy Soares, 28 parted ways earlier this year following months of speculation about their relationship.

The pair first met on Love Island in 2021 and just a month after the show ended Faye, who is originally from Devon moved in with Teddy in London in August 2021.

They later moved into a plush Essex apartment together with the pair welcoming a third addition to the £1m mansion when they got their Golden Retriever puppy, Bonnie in September 2022.

After being together for over a year the pair parted ways back in February, prior to the split they were the last couple remaining from the seventh series.

Announcing the split Faye posted a picture of her dog Bonnie on her Instagram stories with a statement that read: "I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways.

"Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us."

She concluded her message by saying: "Lots of love, Faye and Bonnie."

It seems Faye is now the sole owner of Bonnie, as the dog is often featured in her Instagram posts and not in any of Teddy's recent ones.

The 27 year old also shared how her beloved pup has helped pull her through her heartache, giving her a "purpose" when she’s been feeling flat.

Chatting to OK! Faye confessed: "I would not have gotten through half the stuff I have recently if it wasn’t for her.

"She is my alarm clock in the morning, she gets me up every day and she’s my reason for being.

"The amount of times where I’ve not wanted to get out of bed because I’m in such a low place, but now I don’t have that. I have to get up to feed and walk her every day.”

After an emotional and unexpected break-up, country girl Faye made the decision to abandon city life and return to her home county of Devon.

Faye's followers were provided with a glimpse into her new home featuring a gorgeously decorated living room with a large fireplace, curved cream sofa, and a matching footstool.

This comes after Faye shared updates on her moving process, posting a photo of a bed piled high with boxes and bags last week, with the caption: "Why is moving so hard," with a crying emoji and a white heart emoji. "One room packed, on to the rest."

Now having made the move the former Love Islander credits pub lunches with her mum and dad and moorland walks with helping to clear her head after a turbulent few months, but said returning home without Teddy was bittersweet, especially as she had hoped they would one day settle down together in the West Country.

"That was always my plan," Faye told OK! "I always imagined my kids having the same upbringing as I had. One thing I’ve really learned in the last two years is you can’t plan your future. I’m just going to see if I can make it work.

"You’re very much made to believe nowadays that you should have everything figured out by 27, but I don’t yet, and that’s OK. I’ve had to come to terms with it, don’t get me wrong."

Her voice cracking with emotion, Faye admits: "It’s so hard. I honestly believed he was my soulmate. It’s always hard to come to terms with these things and him not being there to build a life with.

"But you have to respect each other. It’s a loss, but you’ve got to keep on moving forwards."
