These quirky specs have us quite literally seeing stars.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s quietly luxurious courtroom looks have captivated social media during her ski trial this past week, with the Oscar winner-turned-wellness guru styling five figures’ worth of gold Foundrae jewelry with cashmere separates from “stealth wealth” brands like The Row, Prada, and (of course) Goop’s own G. Label.

But it’s her choice of eyewear — a set of retro-style, wire-framed gold aviators — that caught onlookers’ eyes in particular.

“Gwyneth Paltrow looks like she’s on trial in 1987 for hiring a hitman to kill her husband,” comedian Jenny Johnson tweeted of the celeb’s supersized spectacles.

Many others compared Paltrow’s glasses to Jeffrey Dahmer’s signature pair; “Who let Gwyneth wear the serial killer glasses?” one joked, while another cracked, “Gwyneth got the Dahmer glasses on. She’s going to jail.”

But the Milwaukee Monster’s not the only fan of frames like these. In fact, Paltrow’s exact style — the Caddis Metamodernist Scout ($129) — has also been spotted on Matthew McConaughey, Brooke Shields and “Game of Thrones” actress Lena Headey, to name but a few.

In addition to the Metamodernist Scout, which Caddis describes as “one part Chrysler Cordoba and one part Pam Grier,” the optical brand offers a wide range of readers, sunglasses, progressives and prescription styles and counts Katie Couric and Keri Russell as other famous customers.

Caddis describes itself as an “anti- anti-aging brand,” and Paltrow’s been a fan for years; she stocks several of its styles on Goop, and previously praised the Miklos ($99) as her
“most-bought and most-used item” in a 2022 Wirecutter interview.

“I’ve turned into a crazy old lady with reading glasses in every drawer, on every surface, in the console of my car. These are the best reading glasses I’ve found,” she raved at the time.

“Unlike a lot of other companies, Caddis embraces the coolness of aging, and that’s certainly something I can get behind.”

“Dahmer vibes” or not, it seems plenty of other famous folks would agree.
