Harry Styles couldn’t care less about the 10-year age gap between himself and his new love, Olivia Wilde! After all, she’s totally his ‘dream girl,’ a source tells HL EXCLUSIVELY.
When it comes to his love life, age is nothing but a number for Harry Styles. There’s been much ado about the 10-year age gap between himself and his new love, Olivia Wilde, but as a source told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY — he’s not even thinking about it. “The fact that she’s ten years older doesn’t bother him at all,” the source said. “If anything, it’s a plus because he loves that dynamic.”
It makes sense; Harry has a history of dating older women. In 2010, when he was just 17 years old, he got together with 31-year-old The X Factor presenter Caroline Flack. The two dated on and off until officially splitting in 2012 and ended on amicable terms. While the age gap was dramatically smaller, he also dated Taylor Swift, who is five years his senior.
Harry, who is starring in Olivia’s film Don’t Worry Darling, were spotted holding hands at Harry’s friend’s wedding in Montecito (which he officiated) and immediately sparked a media frenzy. Harry, in a dapper suit, and Olivia, in a boho gown and pink headband, strolled the grounds of the San Ysidro Ranch hand in hand after the ceremony ended. The next morning, they were spotted arriving back at Harry’s home in Los Angeles.
While their romance likely blossomed on the set of their film, Harry admired the Booksmart director and actress for her talent before they even met, the source told us. “Harry was ecstatic when he got the part [in Don’t Worry Darling] because he’s a huge fan of Olivia’s work,” they said. “He has Olivia up on a pedestal for sure.”
“It’s not really a shock that he’s fallen for her because she’s totally his type,” they continued. “Who knows how long it will last, but so far Harry seems very happy. And who can blame him? Olivia’s such a dream girl.” Amen to that. HollywoodLife reached out to Harry’s management team for comment but did not hear back as of press time.
