DEAR DEIDRE: MY first love and I are back together but her ex is doing everything in his power to break us up.
We are both 40 but I am single while she has been in a difficult marriage and her husband is making her life very hard.
She has left him but he won’t let her have her belongings out of the house and has involved their son by getting him to be abusive too.
He threatens to run me over if he sees me near my girlfriend’s flat. They check on whether she is there and where she goes.
My girlfriend is always in tears and becoming increasingly anxious about what will happen next. I worry she will have a breakdown if things go on like this.
They are posting threats and abuse on Facebook and I don’t know how much more my girlfriend can stand.
