Ever since the quarantine began, my daily outfits have consisted solely of sweatpants, leggings, and pajamas. It’s hard to even remember the last time I wore a pair of pants with a button and zipper. If we’re going to be stuck at home, might as well take advantage of working in cozy clothes, right? That’s how I see it.
I’ve used this experience as an excuse to invest in new loungewear, and my Lou & Grey sweat suit has quickly become my favorite purchase. Trust me when I say the Signaturesoft Plush Upstate Sweatshirt and Sweatpants are the softest pieces of clothing I’ve ever owned.
I’d been pining over the Lou & Grey Signaturesoft collection for a while now, but I couldn’t quite convince myself to splurge on sweats that I would mostly just wear at home. I’d heard both from friends and influencers on my Instagram feed that these insanely soft pieces feel like wearable clouds, so when the stay-at-home orders hit, I knew it was time to take the plunge.
I settled on the sweatshirt and sweatpants in black and charcoal gray, respectively, because my wardrobe consists of mostly neutrals. But if you’re more of a color person, the selection of Lou & Grey from Nordstrom also includes brighter hues. And now that I have this sweat suit in my wardrobe, I haven’t wanted to wear anything else.
Although I’ve technically been wearing sweats, the matching crewneck and joggers make me feel put together. The sweatpants are tight enough to almost look like real pants, but still loose enough to comfortably work from home. Once the quarantine passes, I plan to wear the sweatshirt with jeans for a casual weekend look. The one downside of the sweat suit is that small pieces of fuzz tend to shed from the fabric; as I’m confined to the spaces in my home, I’ve noticed that I leave behind a trail.

While the state of the world may feel out of control, one thing we can control is the way we take care of ourselves at home, and for me, wearing a sweat suit that feels like a warm hug makes staying in my house a little more enjoyable.
