Charlie Brooks made a welcome return to our screens earlier this year when she reprised her iconic role as Janine Butcher in popular BBC soap EastEnders.
The actress, 40, had last appeared on-screen as villainous Janine in 2014, and seven years later she made an explosive return to Albert Square proving she hasn't changed one bit.
Charlie was delighted to be returning to the BBC soap after such a long hiatus, and so far Janine has continued to cause a stir amongst the residents of Walford, especially during the recent festive period.
However, the soap star's real life is worlds away from her "alter ego" Janine. Here we take a peek into Charlie's family life away from the cameras…

Charlie regularly shares glimpses into her private life over on Instagram, with many of the star's snaps featuring her gorgeous daughter, Kiki.
17 year old Kiki is the spitting image of her soap star mum, and many fans were quick to comment on the resemblance when Charlie shared a selection of snaps to mark Kiki's 17th birthday on her Instagram page recently.
One follower exclaimed: "Gosh. Kiki is your double", while another added: "Wow!! Mummy's double!!"
Charlie resides in Hertfordshire, where she and Kiki live a gorgeous home that occasionally features on the actress' social media.
The 40 year old actress welcomed daughter Kiki back in 2004 when she was in a relationship with ex-fiancé Tony Truman, 53.
The former couple split when their daughter was two years old, but have maintained a close relationship over the years as they continue to co-parent Kiki.
Charlie previously revealed that Tony, who owns a series of hotels and nightclubs in Ibiza, Spain, lives in the flat above her so that they can easily look after Kiki together.
The EastEnders star also opened up about their close friendship, telling Yahoo UK's White Wine Question Time podcast with Kate Thornton: "We are going to grow old together, just in a very different way. He is absolutely my family and nothing will ever change that.
"And it's not always been easy, he's in Ibiza for eight or nine months out of the year and bringing Kiki up on my own a lot of the time was tough and we've really had to navigate our way around that.
"But whatever happens, no matter how much we fall out, which we have done, big time, it's not always plain sailing, but 80% of the time it is and he's a good man and he's looked after us."
She jokingly added: "He's a character, I love him to bits, he can be an a******e sometimes, but nobody's perfect are they?"
Charlie split from her most recent boyfriend, architect Ben Hollington, in 2018, and is now believed to be single.
Away from her EastEnders role, Charlie is also co-founder of iampro, an online drama school.
The school focuses on making acting accessible for all, with celebrities providing masterclasses and Q&As for aspiring actors.
