Inside Love Island’s Mitchel Taylor’s huge Sheffield home with gorgeous living room

Since arriving in the Love Island villa last week, it’s safe to say Mitchel Taylor has captured the attention of many viewers at home, particularly in light to his attitude towards Molly Marsh. But while the 26 year old Yorkshire based islander may have divided opinion on who he should be coupled up with, he has still established a firm fanbase among viewers at home.

One question that seems to pop up frequently where Mitchel is concerned, is what kind of life does he lead away from our TV screens? In his pre-villa interview, it was revealed that Mitchel is a proud gas engineer who hails from Sheffield, but unlike some Islanders who live in plush mansion homes, Mitchel is a welcome dose of relatability as he lives in a large, but not extravagant home in the steel-making city.

Although very little information is actually known about the home itself, eagle eyed fans have been able to capture glimpses of it over the past few years thanks to Mitchel’s social media feed. From the snaps shared by the star so far, it’s clear to see that the comfortable home is the thriving heart of the young star’s life.

Several of Mitchel’s selfies are taken in front of a large wooden staircase, which features a cream and natural wood bannister. Alongside the statement staircase, there is also a family photo canvas, while two cat beds are nestled under the stairs to provide the perfect refuge for his pet cats.

Elsewhere in the property, Mitchel’s living room was first glimpsed at the start of 2023, when he shared a heartwarming photo to ring in the new year. Alongside balloons that spelt out 2023, it was easy to see the well kept but spacious living room featured plenty of neutral tones, with both the walls and furniture styled in a bright shade of cream.

In addition, a wall mounted TV sat beneath a skylight to maximise natural light, while several festive ornaments adorned the room, alongside a statement Christmas Tree. Completing the room was a set of neutral toned curtains, to help keep the room toasty and warm amid the dwindling temperatures.

In another snap shared by Mitchel, fans could also see the beginnings of an unmade bed in the background of his bedroom, while a simple table lamp and dark curtains complete the otherwise modest room. A second shot also appeared to have been taken in the same room and this time revealed a small nightstand beside the bed in a deep mahogany wood, while a large abstract canvas adorned the wall.

Meanwhile, outside the property, the star enjoys a spacious garden complete with furniture that wouldn’t look out of place in the villa itself. In one snap shared by the star, fans noted a wooden garden seat with cushion, while plenty of freshly cleaned paving provided the perfect location to relax and unwind with friends.

And if that wasn't enough, it soon became clear that Mitchel even had his very own jacuzzi hot tub at home, with plenty of plants surrounding it to provide a recreation of the Love Island experience, even before he had jetted off to appear on the show.

Love Island continues Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
