A woman has been left with a painful sunburn after her attempt to tan went horribly wrong.
Caylor Brynn, from Texas, headed to the beach in hopes of picking up a sun-kissed glow but decided to ditch the sun cream — believing she'd only pick up a "slight burn".
But she quickly regretted the decision when instead she was left with a horrific sunburn that saw her skin change colour and left her peeling like a "snake" all over her body.

She took to TikTok, where she goes by the username @caylorbrynn03, to share her painful experience.
The video started with a picture of her standing on the beach in a bikini as she captioned the photo: "Not wearing any sunscreen at the beach thinking I'll get a slight burn and be tan."
But it was followed by a series of photos showing the painful repercussions, with the next snap showing her sunburnt skin beginning to peel off her forehead.
The next pictures showed Caylor's skin dramatically changing colour as the peeling spread over her whole face, leaving her with just a few patches of tanned skin left.
Another photo showed she had intense tan lines on her shoulders as the skin peeled from her chest too.
In a final video clip, Caylor panned down her legs, revealing they were also covered in dry skin peeling off.
"It just got progressively worse," she captioned the post.
Reacting to the horrendous sunburn, one person commented: "This is too good".
Caylor joked back: "Changing colours at its finest".
Responding to another viewer's comment of laughing faces and crying emojis, she added: "Twas not a fun time".
A third commenter wrote: "Snake vibes".
Caylor's certainly not the only person to be left in pain after making the mistake of wearing no sunscreen.
Another woman from Utah recently revealed she was left looking like an "alien" after falling asleep in the sun without any SPF on.
Bela Chatwin developed sun poisoning after accidentally taking a five-hour nap on a beach without any sun protection — leaving her face so swollen and disfigured that even her own sister didn't recognise her.
The NHS advises people who develop sunburn to ease the symptoms by getting out of the sun as soon as possible, taking a cool shower, drinking plenty of water and applying aftersun cream.
They also recommend taking paracetamol or ibuprofen to help with any pain and covering the burnt skin from direct sunlight until it fully heals, which usually takes around seven days.
