The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in matching blue hues and buttons to show their solidarity for the people of Ukraine today.
Wearing an Alexander McQueen cashmere sweater ($740) in the same shade as the Ukrainian flag, Middleton added a flag pin with a white heart on it for a visit to London’s Ukrainian Cultural Center.
Prince William wore the same button pinned to his navy blazer, which he paired with a light blue dress shirt under a solid navy sweater.
Sporting her cropped cashmere sweater with a previously-worn pair of wide-legged navy trousers by Jigsaw, the royal added the Spells of Love Medium Twist Hoops ($80) that she debuted on a visit to Wales on March 1.
Middleton, 40, clutched a brown paper bag as the couple arrived, and it turned out she’d brought a special treat for volunteers: homemade brownies and granola bars, as shown in a photo tweeted by Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English.
The future king and queen consort helped pack donations and spoke with volunteers about their work at the center, learning how British citizens can help the people of Ukraine, both in Europe and those living in the UK.
The couple also showed their support for the country in a message released last week on their social media platforms.
“In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine’s future,” the royals posted.
“Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine’s people as they bravely fight for that future.”
