Proud Kate’s protégé! Duchess of Cambridge unveils photography by student Josh, 9, after she shared her tips with him during a workshop

In June, the Duchess of Cambridge was pictured sharing her photography tips with students at a workshop run by her patronage in south-west London.
And to mark World Photography Day today, the Kensington Palace Instagram account unveiled the work of 9-year-old Josh Evans’ work, after he was pictured taking tips from Kate at the event.
Taking to their account, which boasts almost 10 million followers, the royals shared a post showing Kate, 37, posing with Josh and their cameras, earlier in the summer.
A slide show includes his most recent work, a picture of a leaf, a daisy and a lizard, along with a lengthy caption praising the youngster’s photos.

Sharing a message with the post, Kensington Palace wrote: ‘Today is World Photography Day when we celebrate the art, craft, science and history of photography.
‘Photography can provide a universal language for anyone to express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings.
‘In June this year The Duchess of Cambridge joined children from Action For Children for a special photography workshop run by Royal Photographic Society.
‘Among the children The Duchess met at the workshop was Josh, aged 9 — and this World Photography Day we’re excited to share some of Josh’s images that he took that day. Fantastic work Josh!’

In June Kate was named as the new patron of the Royal Photographic Society.
Kate, who is a keen amateur photographer, has succeeded the Queen as the figurehead of the body, which was officially supported by the monarch for 67 years.
The workshop was run by the Royal Photographic Society and Action for Children – another of Kate’s patronages – at Warren Park Children’s Centre in Kingston upon Thames, south-west London.

Elsewhere 9-year-old Josh captured a leaf with rain drops in a series of arty snaps
She joined young people from Action for Children – which supports disadvantaged youngsters from across the UK – in several sessions, run with Royal Photographic Society honorary fellows Jillian Edelstein and Harry Borden.
During the workshops, the enthusiastic students learned about various elements of photography such as portraits, light and colour.
Alongside developing new skills, the workshop is intended to highlight how photography provides a universal language for young people to express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings.
Kate has been widely praised for her photographic portraits of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
In June Kate was named as the new patron of the Royal Photographic Society.
