‘When she took her first bite, she loved it. It was so funny because I wasn’t sure.
‘She’s never had fast food or nuggets before so I didn’t how it was going to go, but she did not hesitate.
‘She just went in. She had a fry in one hand, a nugget in the other and she loved it.
‘I hope she’ll be as much as a fan as me in the future. I wanted to pass the joy on.’
Stay-at-home mom Elizabeth and her husband Matthew decided to set up the shoot to commemorate their daughter’s first taste of McDonald’s – as they wanted to try something ‘more unique’.
Elizabeth said: ‘I’ve loved McDonald’s my whole life, ever since I was little. At my husband and I’s wedding, we had a big McDonald’s late night snack
‘I have always loved McDonald’s and thought it would be really cute, instead of a cake smash, to do a little Happy Meal.
‘The photographer had never done it before, she’d done a lot of cake smashes, but when I shared the idea she just thought it was adorable. She said ”we absolutely have to do this”.
‘Mila absolutely loved it. When the photoshoot was over, we took the nuggets away from her and she was screaming. She loved them.
‘Every kid remembers having a Happy Meal. I remember when I was little, after a doctors’ appointment or if we’d had injections, my mom would always take me to McDonald’s.
‘I do think cake smashes are adorable and we did a cake too, but I wanted to do something a little more different and more memorable. I wanted to do something more unique.
‘After posting the video online, everyone loved it.
‘It was like she was the perfect actress in that moment for the photos. It was so sweet.’
