Her post continued: ‘My hero is not someone older than me it’s my 6 year old princess.’
The video from the family’s home shows the young girl holding onto a table before letting go to then walk on her own towards a nearby couch.
She is able to take about five steps until she reaches the couch and falls into it, showing pride on her face for walking that far.
Then, the youngster further defied odds by turning around and taking more steps in the room without the help of anything.
Filmed next to the girl was her younger brother, also cheering her on.
Her mother is then heard at the end of the video saying ‘that is amazing’ to Love after she was able to walk so far on her own.
‘I’m so proud of my baby,’ Janae later wrote, ‘She proved that anything is possible.’
Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that impacts the person’s ability to move and maintain posture. It often affects children’s motor abilities in childhood, according to the CDC.
The disorder differs from person to person on severity, but it often challenges the person’s ability to walk on their own without the use of a walker or assistance from others.
Janae appeared to be over the moon with her daughter’s drive to walk on her own.
This resonated with the public as well because the video quickly went viral after Janae shared the moment online.
It has since been shared more than 24,000 with commenters commending the young girl for pushing past her disorder to walk on her own.
‘Her happiness brought tears to my eyes. She is beautiful,’ one commenter wrote about the video.
Another person said: ‘The look on her face is priceless.’
