It’s safe to say there haven’t been many brilliant photo opportunities in 2020… unless we count lockdown sourdoughs and nights in with Netflix.
But if you’re looking to brush up on your photography skills for 2021 then Nikon is offering free online classes to help you do so.
The camera brand has posted 10 free photography courses on its website, with tutorials covering how to best capture pets, children, landscapes and more.
Usually these classes would cost around £11-£37 each, but they are currently available for free at Nikon School Online until the end of the year.
There’s something for all skills and abilities, too, like the Fundamentals of Photography tutorial which sees professional photographer Reed Hoffman help newbie photographers get to grips with their cameras.
Experienced shooters can enjoy videos which help them hone their craft – like the macro photography course taught by photographer Joey Terrill.
Each themed tutorial offers tips on how to set your camera, which lenses are best and how to create poses that look and feel natural.
Just in time for Christmas there’s also a Better Holiday Photos with Nikon Ambassadors lesson, which includes top photographers sharing tips and techniques for shooting great festive snaps and videos this year.
For those not clued-up on the technical side of things, there are additional in-depth videos on how to use specific Nikon products. As well as a simple beginner’s guide to using a Nikon DSLR camera.
Jay Vannatter, executive vice president of Nikon Inc said: ‘Whether celebrating the holidays at home among loved ones or joining together virtually, the power of imaging helps keep us connected, creative and inspired.’
