Olivia Colman proved her icon status by ditching her stilettos.
The actress, 45, attended the opening day of the 2019 Raindance Film Festival at the May Fair Hotel in London on Tuesday to accept the event’s Icon award from the festival’s founder, Elliot Grove.
The Oscar winner attended the event, which is the largest independent film festival in the UK, in a chic black pantsuit with a sheer lace mock turtleneck top and bright red pointy heels.
But when it came time to pick up her trophy, the star of “The Favourite” left her heels behind to step up to the podium (she later slipped them back on to take photos on the step and repeat).
The festival announced that Colman would be the recipient of the honor last week, sharing an article from Screen Daily on Instagram and writing in the caption, “We’re delighted to celebrate Olivia’s ongoing contribution to British film by giving her the inaugural Raindance Icon Award this Tuesday.”
