Owner, 23, who’s splashed £30,000 on pampering her Pomeranian with designer dresses and entering her in competitions insists she’s happy to spend just £20 a month on herself and live with her parents

- Handmade designer gowns cost £50 each as she spends £1,100 of her wages
- Two-year-old pups wardrobe is bursting with bling while Amy goes without
A dog groomer has spent more than £26,000 on her pampered pooch’s lavish wardrobe and enters her into two £50 competitions every weekend – despite still living with her parents and only shopping for herself twice a year.
Amy Sullivan, 23, from Doncaster, buys her Pomeranian pup Tallulah at least eight handmade dresses a month for £50 each, as well as accessories, spending in excess of £1,100.
While the two-year-old pup’s wardrobe is filled with designer pieces, Amy spends less than £20-a-month on her own bargain-basement ensembles.

Each week Amy admits to splashing out £400 on dresses because ‘they are just so cute’ and her ‘sassy diva’ pooch loves to pose.
She said: ‘I spent a fortune on her but she loves it and I can’t stop buying the bespoke dresses as they are just so cute.
‘Once she has a new dress I always put her in it straight away and she starts posing for the camera.’
The pair enter competitions most weekends, fitting two £50 events into two days, and Amy recently spent £280 on a pram.

She added: ‘It’s no surprise that I’m heading to spending almost £30,000 on her.’
Amy says she’s forced to shop at local bargain supermarkets for her clothes after spending the majority of her wages on Tallulah.
She added: ‘I’m happy to buy clothes twice a year for myself and they are never branded.
‘I probably spend no more than £20 per month on myself.
If her lavish wardrobe isn’t enough Amy bought Tallulah a pram (pictured) because she doesn’t always like walking but still enjoys the fresh air
Even coronavirus lockdown hasn’t stopped Tallulah posing in her outfits, as Amy gives her mini photoshoots

‘I currently live at home with my parents and I’d have to curb my spending habits on Tallulah if I were to save any money for a deposit.’
Amy claims that despite having 10 family dogs that Tallulah is the only spoilt one.
She added: ‘Tallulah loves wearing different outfits every day, she is the happiest when in one of her pink frilly dresses.
‘My favourite dress is one that is covered in baby pink bows, diamantes and frills.
How much does Amy spend each month?
Handmade designer clothes [dresses, two pieces]
£550
Accessories [bags, hair jewels, designer collars/leads]
£200
Insurance and food
£150
Competitions
£200
Total £1,100
Over two years £26,400
‘The most I’ve spent on one dress is £100 but that’s normally when we are entering competitions for “best dressed” dog.’
Even coronavirus lockdown hasn’t stopped Tallulah posing in her outfits, as Amy gives her mini photoshoots.
‘She loves the camera and I can tell she’s already really missing the limelight the shows give her,’ she added.
‘While we are on lockdown I have just been giving her mini photoshoots so she can practise her posing.’
If her lavish wardrobe isn’t enough Amy bought Tallulah a pram because she doesn’t always like walking.
She said: ‘Unlike most other dogs she doesn’t always want to go for walks.
‘She likes the fresh air but being in the comfort of her pram she gets to enjoy the best of both.’
And apparently it is clear Tallulah thinks she’s better than the other dogs in the house, which Amy finds ‘hilarious’.
She said: ‘I have spent a small fortune in the past two years on her so it’s no wonder she’s a sassy diva.’
