“Real Housewives of New York” star Leah McSweeney celebrated a year of not drinking Tuesday with a special tribute to her sobriety journey on social media.

“365 days booze free,” she captioned an image on Instagram, which featured a reference to the Alcoholics Anonymous program’s “Twelve Steps.”

“Thank you G-d,” she added, along with the exact number of hours she’s managed to stay off the bottle: 8,747.

The 38-year-old, who made her “RHONY” debut on Season 12 and was not sober at the time, said in the post that she’s been asked by fans if she quit drinking because she saw herself “drunk” on TV.

“I stopped drinking a couple days before the show even aired,” she clarified.

McSweeney had struggled with substance abuse issues in the past. In 2002, she got into a drunken altercation with a police officer and in the time leading up to filming “RHONY,” she was nearly 10 years sober.

“I started drinking before I knew I was going to be on RHONY,” the reality star also clarified on Instagram, adding that she decided to keep drinking while on the show because she wanted to “enjoy” herself.

In the Bravo series, McSweeney had a few outbursts while intoxicated, including a time when she went skinny dipping while in a drunken state.

“I always knew there was a stigma around alcoholism and addiction but I didn’t realize just how terrible the stigma was, especially for women, until the show aired,” she said.

McSweeney added that trying to remain sober amid a pandemic is “even more complicated,” pointing out that “depression and loneliness has people turning to substances more than ever.”

Fellow Bravolebrity Lala Kent, who also decided to quit drinking, commented, “Thank you for being honest and real, and sharing your struggles with us all.”

“RHONY” newbie Eboni K. Williams added, “F—king Amazing!! Congratulations Sis.”
