Here comes Heather Gay, not Honey Boo Boo.
Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” saw Gay confront frenemy Jen Shah over racist accusations and, yes, even a comparison to the Georgia-bred pageant princess who once ran on go-go juice and Mama June’s “sketti.”
“Comparing me to sea mammals, Honey Boo Boo, [calling me a] manipulator, liar, racist?” Gay asked Shah inside the frosty walls of an ice castle, demanding that she apologize for a previous onslaught of Twitter insults.
When Shah asked Gay to clarify, the Beauty Lab founder pulled up receipts.
“Here’s screenshots with your name on it. Jen Shah with a blue verified check. That means Jen Shah typed these words about me: ‘Hey, Honey Boo Boo,’” Gay said. “This is Jen Shah.”
Shah’s response? “That’s not f—king me!” she exclaimed.
But it wasn’t just the Honey Boo Boo comment that hurt Gay. She was also distressed over Shah’s assertion that she is “racist” — especially amid worldwide calls for racial justice that came in tandem with 2020’s reignited Black Lives Matter movement.
“Why would I be your best friend if I was a racist?” she continued. “Why would you say you’re my girl, ‘I love her,’ and then pull that card in such a charged time?”
Rather than say sorry, Shah shot back, “I took it down in five minutes, Heather.”
The embattled Shah — whose March arrest for allegedly ripping off hundreds of victims in a telemarketing scam was captured by Bravo cameras — went on to accuse Gay of “[believing] the worst” about people.
“I can’t believe she tried to turn the tables on me right now. She should be begging forgiveness and asking to make amends,” Gay lamented in a confessional. “I just think she’s used to saying whatever she wants to say and everyone around her agrees.”
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
