Sarah Ferguson wants flame-haired Eleanor Tomlinson to play her younger self in The Crown, a source claims.
The Duchess of York, 60, is said to be a huge fan of the actress, 27, who played Demelza in ITV’s Poldark, and reportedly loves the idea of Eleanor portraying her in the Netflix drama.
For later life, Fergie is said to be keen on Oscar-winner Julianne Moore, 58, who also sports a head of vibrant red locks.
A source told The Sun that the duchess has ‘really enjoyed’ the first two series of The Crown, despite it not going down so well with other members of the Royal Family.

‘She’s told several people close to her she really loves the idea of Eleanor after watching Poldark,’ the source claimed.
‘In later life, she’s keen on Julianne Moore. These days something as big as The Crown actually matters – for a whole new generation that’s how they will know who the duchess actually is.’
The Netflix series returns for its third season this Sunday, with Olivia Colman having taken over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II.
The third and fourth series will cover the years 1964-77, with series one and two having covered the earlier years of the monarch’s reign.

Tobias Menzies will take over from Matt Smith as Prince Philip, with the episodes covering from Harold Wilson’s 1964 election as Prime Minister to the Queen’s 1977 silver jubilee.
The Duchess of York only became engaged to Prince Andrew in 1986 – five years after Prince Charles and Princess Diana – so it is unlikely to feature until later series of The Crown.
According to a royal biographer, the Queen doesn’t watch The Crown because it comes ‘too close to re-creating the reality of royal life’.

Robert Lacey, who is also a historical consultant on the show, told the Radio Times: ‘Whenever any of them are asked about The Crown, they always deny watching it.
‘And that may be because imagination can convey a truth that the facts themselves cannot.
‘I would say that The Crown comes the closest to actually re-creating the reality of royal life.
‘It is not a documentary, but there is an enormous team of historical researchers who examine every detail intensely, to make sure that what we see people feeling and thinking on screen feels right.’

Earlier this week Sarah Ferguson shared a touching message from Saudi Arabia to mark World Kindness Day – and revealed the life motto she lives by courtesy of her late ‘best friend’.
While the duchess did not reveal the name of her companion, or when they died, she has frequently referred to her late sister-in-law Princess Diana as her ‘best friend’.
She revealed her last words to her were to ‘be kind’ and ‘spread the word of kindness’.
‘My best friend, before she died, she said, “Fergie, just remember to be kind, and spread the word of kindness”,’ the duchess explained in a video shared to Instagram.
‘So I am thrilled to be able to say Happy World Kindness Day from here, I am in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.’

Fergie also revealed she ‘doesn’t like grown-ups’ because they ‘don’t want to listen to understand’ her while attending the Misk Global Forum in Riyadh on Wednesday.
Speaking to The National at the Misk Global Forum in Riyadh, the duchess – who was dubbed ‘Sarah of Arabia’ on Tuesday during a talk about her philanthropic work – said she wants to help the nation as 70 per cent of its population is under 35.
‘I don’t like grown-ups …. They don’t understand me. They don’t want to listen to understand me. So I don’t want to be with them then because they want to make me something I’m not,’ she revealed.

Fergie said she is keen to go out and meet people in person who can benefit from her help.
‘I love this visual of riding into a small town on a horse, sort of Buffalo Bill comes to town, and then I get off my horse, as a humble way of transportation, and say, “How can I help?”‘ she told the publication.
‘I don’t know if you remember Mary Poppins, she says “We mustn’t make pie crust promises – easily made and easily broken.” I can’t make a comment if I can’t back it up.’
The duchess also referenced her previous work with Weight Watchers while discussing her plans to work with a major healthcare company in the UAE to continue her work with obesity and diabetes.
‘I was a comfort eater, that’s why I worked for Weight Watchers,’ she said.
