Branding someone ‘fat’ is usually used as a degrading term or a slur to knock a larger person's confidence.
However for size 28-to-30 Courtney Belle, she is reclaiming the word to make it into a positive as she is not shy about flaunting her “fat babe” body.
The 28-year-old blue haired beauty from Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, experienced a bout of bullying in her school years as fellow classmates would target her about her weight.

But, plus size Courtney has certainly got the last laugh.
When she is not caring for adults with learning disabilities, the lass participates in the body positive movement on social media.
Having built up a growing Instagram following of 10,000 fans and having previously featured BBC documentary 'Who are you calling fat?' – Courtney is paving the way for curvy babes.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, the fuller bodied babe has revealed how she went from hating her figure to learning to embrace each curve on her body.
Courtney candidly shared: “I spent so many years of my life hating my body, I grew up under the impression that being fat was the worst thing and got put on diets at such a young age.
“I genuinely believed that I was disgusting, that I was worthless and felt so ashamed of my body. I got terribly bullied through school and from some family that I guess you start to believe it and that’s not something that is easy to forget or unlearn.
“I got to such a low point. Instead of spending my teens enjoying myself I was constantly obsessing over my body, if I ate 'too much' or didn’t exercise enough and I became so suicidal and I was exhausted of it all.
“I got to my lowest point and I came across some body positive/ fat acceptance accounts on Instagram and it all blew my mind and I was in awe of these people that was saying a big ‘sod you’ to beauty standards and fat phobia."
From feeling like she was at rock bottom, the body positive movement lit a spark in Courtney would eventually help her accept herself.
“I genuinely didn’t know that I could feel like that, that I didn’t have to hate my fat body when in actual fact I could be happy and love it just the way it is", she said.
“It wasn’t something that quickly happened overnight though, I spent a long time accepting and unlearning everything pretty much.
“I started changing how I spoke to myself, doing things that made me feel good or wearing what I wanted.
“But I’ll tell you what, it’s bloody powerful and the most liberating feeling to reclaim my body back, the body that has been told that it was the wrong size/weight since childhood.
“Here’s to being unapologetic, reclaiming and sticking a finger up to how society tells us to have a body.
“No wrong way to have a body, all just as worthy as the next.”
And, Courtney is certainly practising what she preaches.
The blue haired babe has embraced being ‘fat’ and is not afraid to label herself with the three letter word some dread.
In fact, Courtney is a self-confessed ‘fat babe’ – and sees the ‘power’ in calling herself the word often used derogatorily.
The curvy influencer explained: “I can totally understand why people see it[fat] as a negative, it’s been used that way by most for a long time.
“I don’t see it as an insult personally, it’s a descriptive word, fat isn’t a bad word and I fully reclaim power of it back.”
When asked how she learnt to love her body despite society praising ‘thin’ women, the influencer explained: “Honestly it was learning that being fat isn’t a bad thing. That it’s okay to not be thin.
“Bodies fluctuate all the time and it’s normal.
“Like who made these unrealistic and dangerous rules up? Those “beauty standards” aren’t true and so damaging.
“All bodies are different and that is okay.”
The plus size babe continued: “God forbid you put weight on or have a belly, it’s made out to be such a bad thing and it’s incredibly toxic.
“Sadly it’s something that many if not all are used to, it’s pushed onto us at such a young age.
“The main thing I remind myself is that life is happening now and I am not spending it hating myself for not being slim."
