IF you’re shopping for something particular or have a little cash to spare, you might want to check out the latest spring sales.
Shops including Argos, Matalan, Dunelm and Sports Direct all have offers on and you can get up to 50% off on clothes, shoes, toys and more.
But before you splash out, make sure you compare prices.
You might find you can get the same – or similar – item for less elsewhere.
It’s not always clear when a sale stops and ends, but we’ve found six shops that are currently offering big deals.
Here’s the best bargains we spotted online from some of Britain’s favourite high street stores:
Argos
LEGO DUPLO My First Animal Train Toy for Toddlers
- Was: £20. Now: £16. Save: £4 (20%) – buy now
Argos has a number of deals on this Easter, including 20% off Lego toys.
This animal train set that would be perfect for little ones to play with over the holidays.
We couldn’t spot this going for cheaper elsewhere.
Argos also has a wider sale now on and we’ve spotted nearly 70% slashed off prices of some items.
This silver hummingbird necklace is going for just under £5, down from £15 – which is a 67% saving.
Matalan
Lincoln Grey Wool Coat
- Was: £50. Now: £25. Save: £25 (50%) – buy now
Matalan has slashed up to 50% offa range of items, including menswear, womenswear and kidswear.
We’ve spotted this men’s grey wool coat from Matalan that could help keep the spring chills at bay.
It was £50, but it’s now half price at £25.
Although we couldn’t find a coat that looks exactly like this much cheaper, we did see New Look is flogging one that looks similar for a quid cheaper at £24.
Dunelm
Enjoy 12 Piece Dinner Set
- Was: £20. Now: £14. Save: £6 (30%) – buy now
If you’re looking to freshen up your home, then you might want to head to Dunelm.
The homeware specialist has up to 50% off some items, and we’ve spotted this 12 piece dinner set going for £14, down from £20.
It could be a good buy if you’re looking for some jazzy crockery to use for special occasions.
We couldn’t find the same set – or something similar – being sold cheaper elsewhere.
But if you’re prepared to splash out more cash, Wayfair is selling a 12 piece dinnerware set too – but at £36, it’s £22 more expensive than the set at Dunelm.
Dorothy Perkins
Wide Fit Tan ‘Almie’ Boots
- Was: £35. Now: £10. Save: £25 (71%) – buy now
Dorothy Perkins is flogging a mega deal where shoppers can buy one item on sale and get another for free.
When we tried the offer today, the cheapest item in our basket was free.
We spotted these boots going for just a tenner, down from £35.
So you could get them for free if you bought another item that was more expensive than £10 – such as these black trousers for £17.
However, if you head to Matalan, we spotted these very similar looking boots for £7, down from £25.
H&M
Imitation leather shirt jacket
- Was: £34.99. Now: £20. Save: £14.99 (43%) – buy now
H&M has a mid-season sale now on, and savvy savers can get up to 50% off items such as clothes for women, men, kids and babies.
If you’re looking for something a little more formal, then this leather-look shirt in a lovely dark blue colour could be a good buy.
It’s £20 now, but was £34.99 – so you’ll save just under £15.
However, for £15 less, you could get this purple shirt in the same type of material for just a fiver from New Look.
Sports Direct
Nike MD Runner Trainers Ladies
- Was: £59.99. Now: £31.50. Save: £28.49 (47%) – buy now
Sports Direct is having a “Lockdown Sale”, with up to 50% slashed off items from brands including Adidas, Nike and Puma.
If you’re looking for some trainers from these brands but think that paying the full price tag is too much of a stretch, there’s some on sale.
We’ve spotted these Nike womens trainers going for roughly £32, down from just under £60.
We couldn’t spot Nike trainers like this going for cheaper elsewhere.
