HUNDREDS of TalkTalk customers have been left without internet this morning because the broadband provider has gone down.
Problems began around 7am, according to Downdetector.co.uk, with 94 per cent of complaints referring to internet access.
More than 300 customers are currently experiencing problems according to the complaints site, with only two per cent of them reporting problems with their phone line and three per cent with TV.
Customers in Manchester, Liverpool, Dundee and Warrington have been affected by the outage, while those in Crewe and Dunfermline are also struggling to get online.
The provider has reported that the loss of broadband is particularly impacting customers in the north west of the UK.
A statement on TalkTalk's website reads: "We'd like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and assure you that we're working to restore service as a priority.
"There's no need to contact us about this however you can check back here later for updates as we'll keep you updated on our progress right here."
TalkTalk is one of the UK's biggest internet providers, and supplies 4.3million households with broadband, phone lines and TV packages.
One customer tweeted the firm, saying that they couldn't access any of their online services.
He wrote: "No Amazon, BBC or banking. Ah, the joy of Talk Talk."
Others have said that they can't load Google, access their online banking or even load photos on social media.
Dan Lee said that he still hasn't got access to the internet despite being connected, restarting the router and disconnecting and reconnecting his devices.
Shirley wrote: @TalkTalk I can get on google but nothing else, tried different router and still the same. Tried three different devices and all the same too."
TalkTalk hasn't yet revealed details of what has caused the problems or when they are likely to be fixed.
We've asked the provider when it expects the service to return to normal and will update this article when we hear back.
It's the second time in 10 days that customers have suffered and outage – last week, around 300 households were struggling to get into their emails.
At the same time, BT and Sky customers were locked out of their accounts because of an outage with Yahoo Mail, but TalkTalk told The Sun that it was a separate issue.
And back in December, TalkTalk customers couldn't get online following a problem with Openreach.
It's not the only provider to suffer an outage. Virgin Media's website went down in November, leaving customers struggling to check the status of their broadband.
Meanwhile Sky broadband left hundreds of customers without access to internet after a broken network card disrupted the network.
