A TEENAGE girl could be left blinded by a tumour that caused her eye to pop out.
Kanyaraj Saisanang, 17, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February last year but was operated on successfully and all appeared well.
But recently she developed eye pains and it was discovered she had a new tumour which left her eye bulging out of her head.
Kanyaraj, from Konkaen in Northern Thailand, had a second operation last week and now has to wait two months to find out if doctors successfully removed all of the tumour.
It is almost certain she will lose her sight in the affected eye and, having previously lost the use of the other eye, she will be left totally blind.
Kanyaraj is being helped by Monk Bhin of the Ruankratanyu Foundation in Bangkok, who is widely known in Thailand for his work in helping the poor.
Monk Bhin has promised Kanyaraj a prosthetic eye, paid for by his foundation at a cost of £570.

Kanyaraj lives with her mother and brother, who works to help pay for food and hospital expenses for his sister, and cannot attend school because of her problems.
This is just another case for the indefatigable Monk Bhin who is often the only source of support for the poorest of poor people in Thailand.
