Jodie Foster returned the favor on Sunday when she gave Aaron Rodgers a shoutout in her Golden Globes acceptance speech for her role in “The Mauritanian.”
“I love my wife, thank you Alex, and Ziggy,” the actress — who won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture — said pointing to her dog, before adding, “and Aaron Rodgers and the Hollywood Foreign Press.”
Earlier this month, the Green Bay Packers quarterback had people scratching their heads when he thanked Foster during his speech as he was named NFL MVP. He also coyly announced his engagement to actress Shailene Woodley.
Woodley co-stars in “The Mauritanian” and Foster dished on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that she and her co-star spent time on set “in a little tent with a little air conditioner spitting at us, talking about our lives, and recipes, and people we hate, and things like that.”
Presumably they also yakked it up about people they like, which probably included Rodgers.
Foster also told Kimmel that she is Rodgers’ “biggest fan.” The “Contact” actress has been a longtime fan of the football star, telling Conan O’Brien in 2016 that she religiously watches the Packers play every weekend.
Oddly enough, Foster told Kimmel that she does not know Rodgers, but we’re assuming that she’s going to score an invite to the upcoming nuptials.
