Prince William and Kate Middleton – who are the golden couple and family of the royals — have made a major change to their Instagram, but you may have to be a big fan of the royal family to notice. After being known as @KensingtonRoyal for as long as we can remember, the power couple have suddenly updated their handle to @dukeandduchessofcambridge (via Twitter). Revealing the news via their various social media accounts on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, they also announced they now have a YouTube channel (via Instagram).
“Better late than never — we’re now on YouTube,” read the caption that accompanied a video of some of the couple’s most iconic moments, as well as some charming behind the scenes sneak peaks. It even begins with William joking to Kate about the fact they are now big-time vloggers. “By the way, you’ve got to be careful what you say now, because these guys are filming everything,” the Duke of Cambridge cheekily told the Duchess.
