A woman has revealed how she removes cooking grease from her fry pan with a simple kitchen trick.

Holly from Ontario, Canada, says she is never going back after discovering the ‘genius’ hack and uses only three steps to remove excess oil from the pan.

To do she first pulled out a sheet of aluminium foil and placed it into her kitchen sink, making sure to mould it into the shape of her drain.

After cooking crispy bacon rashes she poured the leftover oil from the fry pan into the foil and directed the grease into the drain area. 

She let the oil sit until it transformed into a solid block and then wrapped foil around it and threw into the bin – it’s that easy. 

Holly posted her simple hack to TikTok and received almost five million views as well as thousands of comments from amazed users.

‘I’ve always just used paper towel to soak oil up, I will be trying this,’ a user wrote.

‘Oh my god. Absolutely brilliant going to do this from now on,’ another wrote. 

Although hundreds of viewers have shared their disgrace in seeing ‘liquid gold’ go to waste, as many suggested reusing bacon grease to cook with. 

‘What! I always keep it and cook so many meals with it likes eggs, pasta and burgers,’ a TikTok user wrote.

‘You just threw away liquid gold,’ a woman wrote with a sad face.

‘Bacon rendering is like gold. I put it straight in the old coffee can to make gravy, corn bread and green beans,’ another wrote.
