Star Wars fans, get ready to pack your lightsabers and Jedi robes for an epic adventure on board the galaxy's coolest starship.
A brand new, fully immersive Star Wars-themed hotel is opening at Walt Disney World in Orlando in 2021, and now it's been revealed by Disney Parks Blog that bookings will be opening later this year.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will invite guests to step on board the Halcyon ship, a "starcruiser known throughout the galaxy for its impeccable service and exotic destinations".
Budding Jedis will be able to book in for two-night stays for the fully immersive experience, where they will get to sleep in themed cabins, eat themed food, and even interact with the characters and crew members who wander around the ship.
The experience starts from the moment they check-in, where they will be invited to enter a Launch Pod to head into space – jumping to hyperspace of course.
Other highlights will include lightsaber training and visiting the ship's Bridge to learn how to operate the systems (it may come in handy).
Oh, and of course there's an excursion to the Black Spire Outpost on Planet Batuu, at the theme park's new Star Wars land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
No exact date has been confirmed as to when the bookings will open, but it's likely that when they do, places will fill up quickly.
The good news for fans is that, if they don't bag a stay at the themed hotel, they can still get their Star Wars fix at Galaxy's Edge, which is an immersive experience in itself.
Highlights including the chance to ride the Millennium Falcon in a thrilling attraction, taking part in an epic battle in new ride Rise of the Resistance, eating themed food and looking out for famous characters such as Rey, Kylo Ren and Chewbacca who can be seen wandering around the land.
Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering, told Disney Parks Blog: "Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience. You’re going to live onboard a star cruiser…and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story."
