- Veronica Pereyra worked as a flight attendant with Emirates for a decade
- She shared a video of herself grabbing toilet paper in the bathroom on a flight
- Pereyra encouraged others to dig into the stash when they need supplies
A former flight attendant who worked for Emirates for a decade has lifted the lid on where the extra toilet paper is secretly stashed on a plane.
Veronica Pereyra, a digital nomad currently based in Colombia, is known as @amindfulnomad on TikTok, where she shares tips on traveling and working remotely.
She went viral after sharing a video of herself grabbing an extra roll of toilet paper in the bathroom on a flight to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
‘Me changing the roll on the plane toilet because I used to be a flight attendant and know where to find them,’ she wrote in the on-screen text.

Pereyra went viral after sharing a video of herself popping open the mirrored vanity in the plane’s bathroom to grab toilet paper on her flight to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The footage showed her popping open the mirrored vanity above the sink by pressing a hidden button underneath.
She panned the camera to show the stacks of toilet paper, paper cups, hand towels, and tissues inside the cabinet.
Pereyra encouraged others to dig into the stash whenever they notice the bathroom is running low on paper products.
‘Help your cabin crew, now you know,’ she wrote in the caption.
Speaking with Newsweek about the viral video, she explained that ‘every toilet and aircraft are different,’ so the products may be stored somewhere else if there isn’t a mirrored cabinet.
Pereyra noted that Emirates does not encourage passengers to access the hidden storage compartments in the plane bathrooms because the company prides itself in its hospitality.
However, she added that it’s always good to know where the extra supplies are kept in case you ‘find yourself in there with no toilet paper.’
Pereyra’s video has been viewed 4.8 million times and has received nearly 300 comments since it was posted last month.

Pereyra’s video has been viewed 4.8 million times, and many people thanked her for sharing the airline’s secret
Many people were blown away by the hidden compartment and thanked her for sharing the airline’s secret.
‘Thank you,’ one fan wrote. ‘I was always afraid of being out of toilet paper on a plane.’
‘Thank youuu!’ someone else gushed. ‘I saw someone else post where Target self-checkout keeps extra bags. A week later I had to pull some out.’
‘I’m too scared to press or open anything on a plane. I’m paranoid it’s gonna open or alert someone,’ another admitted.
‘Yes! We gotta help workers. It’s a small gesture but it alleviates their workload (& makes our life easier too,’ Pereyra replied.
However, one TikTok user noted that helping the flight crew by helping yourself to toilet paper could backfire.
‘Did this and broke the glass… I lost 7,000 dollars,’ the person claimed.
‘Wait, how did you break the glass? I need the tea,’ Pereyra asked, but the stranger never responded.
