CHANGES to the green and red travel lists have been delayed – with ministers expected to overhaul the traffic light system tomorrow.
The three-week review was scheduled for today but has been pushed back amid Boris Johnson's reshuffle and planned updates to the travel regime.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid all but confirmed that expensive PCR tests would be ditched for fully-vaxxed arrivals in the UK.
Ministers are expected to sign off on letting them take cheaper lateral flow alternatives on day two of their arrival.
It comes after the consumer watchdog warned of the spiralling costs of gold-standard PCR tests.
The traffic light system could also be simplified to a Go/No Go list, with many more countries available for travel.
The red list could shrink dramatically, opening up a host of possible autumn holiday destinations.
Turkey has been tipped to go from red to amber, meaning double-jabbed Brits can return without having to endure expensive hotel quarantine.
The country has been pressuring to come off the red list despite recording its highest number of cases since May 4 on Tuesday.
Pakistan and Bangladesh are also hoping to come off the red list to open up a travel corridor for expats settled in the UK.
