You could be in with a chance to earn some spare cash as a professional hotel bed tester.
Linen brand Tielle Love Luxury is looking to hire someone to spend the night at five-star hotels to test their bedding in different locations.
The successful applicant will have to report back on ways they think their night’s sleep could have been even better.
They’ll also have to share their thoughts on how comfortable the beds are, how relaxed they were and what their quality of sleep was like in the hotels.
They will be paid £200 a night for the trouble, in addition to travel costs.
Whoever gets the job won’t be starting small either, as their first stay is set to be at London’s Savoy.
Other hotels on the list are Artist Residence, which has branches up and down the country, and the newly opened Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire.
Alison Vernon, director of Rooms at the Savoy, said: ‘This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get paid for spending time in some of the world’s most exclusive hotels, we expect Tielle Love Luxury to be inundated with applicants and can’t wait to meet the lucky new employee on their first day, here at the Savoy.’
Catherine Morris, managing director at Tielle Love Luxury, said: ‘As we started to think about our hotels reopening post lockdown, we spotted an opportunity to enhance the expertise within our team.
‘Whilst my colleagues are the best in the business when it comes to linen, quality, responsible sourcing and all-round luxury, we realised that in order to maintain our expert position, we need to really understand what our guests are experiencing on a regular basis and that means walking in their shoes, or, more literally, sleeping in their beds!’
The brand is looking for someone with an ‘exceptional eye for detail, who isn’t afraid to speak their mind and who knows their way around a great hotel room’.
Catherine added: ‘Tielle Love Luxury has worked with five-star hotels for over 30 years but today, it’s not as easy to go on breaks or take that business trip, so when people do, it needs to be nothing short of perfect.
‘Our company’s mission has always been to deliver the best night’s sleep to hotel guests around the world. Employing a five-star bed tester will mean we’ve got someone in our team who is making sure we do just that.’
The job is set to start next year, and applications are open until December 10, 2020.
You can apply online on the Tielle Love Luxury website.
