FAMILIES desperate to have a holiday this year can look ahead to Christmas, with hotels and holiday parks already offering deals for the festive period.
A UK New Year break is also on the cards, with many Brits who often head abroad choosing to stay in the country this year.
Travel restrictions and quarantine rules have all but stopped travelling abroad for a holiday for many families due to the risk of being stranded overseas, or left out of pocket.
This has resulted in a huge staycation boom, with campsites and cottages selling out during the summer.
New rules are in place regarding the size of group meetings and holidays – the government's rule-of-six now means families and friends cannot see each other if there are more than six of them.
Scotland has banned all household visits for now, although Wales and England have not.
Families can still go away in the UK if they are less than seven in a group, and those wanting to book a trip further in advance can take advantage of some bargain deals below, starting from just £28 each a night.
Brits are urged to check local travel restrictions and be aware that these can change at short notice, however.
