The little-known beach that is now the best in the UK according to Tripadvisor | The Sun

A LITTLE-known beach in the UK has been voted the best in the UK – and it's not where you think.

The Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards 2023 ranked the best beaches in the UK and some of them even beat beaches in Europe.

Taking the top spot for the best British beach was Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk, which came in 12th place in Europe's best beaches as well.

The Victorian seaside town is a hidden gem, with the three mile sandy stretch featuring in the Richard Curtis film, ‘Yesterday’.

Celebs to have visited also include Ed Sheeran and Danny Boyle.

One Tripadvisor reviewer wrote: "This has to be one of the finest beaches in the UK – and I have visited most."
