IF you fancy a Maldives holiday without the price tag, there is a great alternative that is closer to the UK.

Why Mombasa?
Mombasa is a popular beach city in Kenya, with some of the country's best beaches.
Due to its location in the Indian Ocean, it has a mix of Indian, Arabian and African influences.
And it's the best place to go for some winter sun – the temperatures in December and January hit 33C.
