You can stay in a cosy hobbit house in Sussex with a wood-fired hot tub and heated floors for just £42 each per night

LORD of the Rings fans can stay in their own hobbit house in Sussex for just £42 each, per night.

You can stay cosy with the wood-fired hot tub just outside, as well as heated flooring inside.

Located near the towns of Rye and Winchelsea, the tiny hideaway is found on a vineyard which creates sparkling rose which you can sample while there.

Inside the wooden hut are two double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, along with a huge living room with a wood-burning stove.

The vaulted ceiling, intricately painted with gold stars, overlooks a kitchen, dining area and living room, with some of the furniture handcrafted out of wood.

If you get cold, you can put the fire on or turn the underfloor heating on.

  • Seven nights at the Hobbit Hut with Snaptrip – from £1,203 (£42 each, per night)

You can also head outside to the hot tube with views of the rolling hills, and enough privacy that you're unlikely to see anyone walk by.

You can still explore the local area which includes Bodiam Castle and Camber beach, both a short drive away.

You can also book a vineyard tour with the owners – but if you don't fancy leaving, then you can spend the evenings inside, watching Lord of the Rings instead.

Dogs are not allowed but kids are, and the property still abides by the government's rule of six.

Prices start from £1,203 for seven nights, working out to £42 each, per night.

A similar hobbit hut can be found in Scotland, with beautiful views of the Scottish Highlands.

Otherwise head to Wales for a Snow White-inspired fairytale cottage which you can rent for £31pppn.

Or stay in a 19th century castle turret where your kids can live out their dreams of being Rapunzel.
