Ariana DeBose attended the GLAAD Media Awards on Friday, and she nailed every single part of her beauty look for the night. Everything from her hair (which was a chic bixie haircut) to her french-moon nail art made for a showstopping look that won’t soon be forgotten. But the best part of her beauty moment? Her makeup.

DeBose wore a bronzy, olive-green smoky eye and fresh, satin skin to the show. “The vibe we were going for was chic and luxurious,” DeBose’s makeup artist Andréa Tiller tells POPSUGAR. “My inspiration for Ariana’s look was her gorgeous Jason Wu custom white dress . . . I wanted to keep the makeup very classy with a diffused smoky eye using bronze and olive-green color tones that went perfectly with the diamonds.”

With the makeup look, Tiller says her intention was to let DeBose’s skin sing. “Beautiful skin is always in,” she says. “I wanted her to feel her most confident and beautiful, so I always try to do makeup on Ari that feels elegant and fresh.” For her skin, Tiller used Lancôme products, with one of her hero items being the Lancôme Absolue The Serum ($230) all over her face to soften and hydrate skin.

DeBose’s eyes were also given the star treatment, but one detail you might have missed was the olive shimmer used to line her lower lash line. “After applying the Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse Stylo Shadow Stick ($25) in Or Inoubliable and Onyx to her lids as a base, I added the bronze tones from Lancôme Hypnôse 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette ($50) in Bronze Absolu to the lids and the Lancôme Drama Liqui-Pencil in Leading Lights ($22) to the waterline for a little sparkle.”
