Here come the girls! Goodwood revellers look glorious as they arrive for Ladies Day

It’s Ladies Day at Glorious Goodwood.

And to mark the occasion, female racegoers have spent the day getting dressed up to the nines.

Formal frocks and elaborate hats are in abundance at the Chichester Racecourse.

Here are some of the most eye-popping outfits we’ve seen so far.

Glam guests have been tottering through the Goodwood Festival gates.

One lass wore a polka-dot dress with a daring split up its front.

She was accompanied with two pals, who looked equally as stunning.

The first rocked a yellow jumpsuit with a waist-enhancing ruffle at the midriff.

Meanwhile, the second reveller wore a flattering wrap frock that she styled with a printed bag and wedged shoes.

The three friends weren’t the only ones to catch the attention of photographers.

Another pretty pair went all-out with their outfits.

The first, who blow-dried her blonde locks into glamorous waves, balanced a large pink hat on her head.

Her accessory worked perfectly with her floral dress and flower-adorned sandals.

While the festivalgoer went for a girlie vibe, her mate went for an all-black ensemble.

Her polka dot dress looked lovely with her sky-high heels and mesh fascinator.

Dresses were the most popular choice for Ladies Day attendees.

But some lasses thought outside of the box by wearing playsuits.

A giggling guest strutted her stuff at the racecourse in an asymmetric romper.

The lace number was styled with minimalistic heels and a cross-body bag.

Playsuits are a clever choice for a day at the races – as they stop revellers flashing their undies if the wind blows.

Qatar Goodwood Festival – also known as Glorious Goodwood – began on Monday, July 30.

The event takes place for five days and organisers promise a “festival week like no other”.

There are different dress code regulations depending on which enclosure racegoers book into.

The Richmond Enclosure requires men to wear jackets and ties, while ladies are expect to dress “stylishly” and “elegantly”.

Other areas are less formal, with Gordon Enclosure and Lennox Enclosure advising for “smart” but “relaxed” clothing.
