Lisa Rinna and the never-ending saga of beauty inspiration continues. On April 18, the reality TV star revealed a slate of photos for her latest editorial shoot, and on the docket was an avant-garde yellow outfit that featured texture, tights, and most importantly: a monochromatic shadow french manicure.

Rinna’s nails featured a fun combination of colors for an unexpected twist on a trend we’ve seen before. Created by manicurist Daisy Perez, they were first filed into a long-stiletto shape and painted a translucent jelly yellow shade. Then, a “french tip” was added to the look, but instead of a traditional smile line, Perez opted to create a “shadow” illusion using white nail polish.

The color was added both the base and tips of the nail, and instead of a stark line separating the two, they were blended in opposite directions to create a yellow gradient effect. Like other shadow french manicures, the result looked like it could have been created with chrome polish, but it was simply an illusion that is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Rinna has been churning out look after look since leaving the “Real Housewives” franchise. From debuting an epic pixie cut for the People’s Choice Awards before switching to a bowl cut for the ages at Paris Fashion Week, the star has remained on mood boards all over the world. This latest look only further cements her as a beauty icon in her own right. Take a closer look at her nails below.
