Lori Harvey has never been one to shy away from a head-turning beauty moment, but the model and beauty entrepreneur’s latest haircut has to be one of our favorite looks yet. Over the weekend, Harvey’s hairstylist Ray Christopher took to Instagram to unveil her latest look: a textured chin-length bob.
“Lastnight I was supposed to be doing an updo, how did we end up here ??????? NEW CUT, who dis,” he captioned the post. Christopher kept Harvey’s hair its natural brunette color, allowing the cut to take center stage, and added a few subtle waves to give it some extra texture and movement.
Harvey isn’t the only celebrity undergoing a big hair transformation in the transition from summer to fall. Within the last week alone, Saweetie, Doja Cat, and Maisie Williams all debuted shorter haircuts. From buzz cuts to various styles of bangs, celebrities are bucking tradition and completely forgoing the longer hairstyles that we are used to seeing this season.
While the bob haircut is timeless, it first starting popping up in the late 90s as the popularity of “The Rachel” grew. Of course, ’90s trends are making a comeback this year: french rolls and heart braids have skyrocketed over the last few months, and TikTok has been obsessed with ’90s hair rollers. Even nail trends like the ’90s “supermodel nail” are starting to pop back up on the red carpet.
