ABC President Karey Burke says she has not spoken to Constance Wu since the actress publicly expressed her disappointment that her show “Fresh Off the Boat” was renewed, tweeting “Ugh. F - - k.”
“I was happy that she apologized,” Burke said at the Television Critics Association press day, reports the Wrap. “I’ve had no further conversations with Constance … I will see her at the table read. We have ongoing conversations with the producers and it was made clear to us very early on that everyone took Constance at her word that she was apologetic.”
Wu had tweeted at the time, “So upset right now that I’m literally crying.”
