Amy Childs ‘SPLITS’ from boyfriend Ritchie just 11 months after giving birth to son

Amy Childs has split from her boyfriend and the father of her second child after almost two years together, according to reports.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star, Amy, and Ritchie are believed to have called time on their relationship a few months ago.

It is claimed that the split between Ritchie and Amy, 29, was "amicable" and the pair are still friends.

A source told The Sun Online: "They broke up on good terms and will remain friends. He’s still a big part of her son's life and sees her regularly.

"Her children are the biggest part of her life and they both want the best for their children."

A second insider told the publication that Amy is surprisingly "happy" after calling a day on their romance.

They said: "She’s really busy, she’s doing lots of work. She’s doing her blogging and her baby range with Obaby and Roma prams – and she still won’t leave the kids.

"Some thought she’d be in bits over the break-up, but she’s happy, really focused and looks glamorous. She’s got a really good friendship and family network."

Businessman Ritchie, who has no interest in being famous, and Amy were first spotted together in 2018 on a holiday to the Caribbean.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Amy’s partner is a businessman and he’s got no interest in showbiz or that lifestyle.

"His focus is Amy and the baby and she completely respects his wishes. Right now Amy is the happiest she has ever been in her whole life. It’s a really exciting time for them. He is the best boyfriend to Amy and is absolutely brilliant with her little girl Polly."

Just two months after first being seen with Ritchie, Amy revealed she had fallen pregnant with their first child together.

She told OK! magazine during her pregnancy: "He has a good job and he just doesn't want to be involved.

"He tells me: 'I love Polly and I'll love the newborn, but I don't want to be a part of it,' and I have to respect that.

"With Ritchie, it's so refreshing to be with someone like that. I've had boyfriends who've been fame hungry, so it's nice to keep it separate."

Amy — who was already mum to daughter, Polly, from a relationship with Bradley Wright — gave birth to their son on 1 September 2018.

Amy welcomed first child Polly in April 2017, splitting from her dad Bradley just six weeks after giving birth.

An insider told The Sun following their break up: "It's over for good now, Amy is fed up.

"They've decided between them that the relationship won't work and Bradley has moved out. He will still see their baby Polly and Amy wants to make that work."

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate found out she was pregnant with her son just eight months after giving birth to Polly.

She said at the time: "It was a really big shock. A little bit of me thought because it happened so soon after having Polly that I might have a miscarriage, as it's happened to a lot of my friends.

"But I tried to be positive and thought if this happens then it's meant to be. It's overwhelming thinking about how quickly it happened, but now I truly believe it's meant to be.

"It took me so long to have Polly. I cried every time I came on my period because I wanted a baby so much."

Despite gearing up to celebrate her son's first birthday, Amy has never revealed her son's name.

Discussing her decision with OK! online, she said: "Do you know what, we decided to keep him out of the public eye.

"It was something when I was pregnant that we decided to do, and obviously I put Polly on social media, but with my little boy we just decided not to.

"It is hard because sometimes I just want to show him off, but at the same time we did decide it.

"Two under two is hard, but I love it – I can’t believe what I did with my time before. I can’t believe that I had all this time in the world."
