Angela Simmons is moving forward with her life after the tragic death of her ex-fiancé.
The 31-year-old model stepped out for The Lookup’s kickoff party in New York City on Tuesday evening, where she joined racecar drivers Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, actress Carol Alt and former “RHONY” star Kelly Bensimon to celebrate Black Tap founder Chris Barish and wife Julie Mulligan’s newest project.
Simmons’ 2-year-old son, Sutton Tennyson, stayed home.
Simmons welcomed her son with her late ex-fiancé, also named Sutton Tennyson, in 2016. Tennyson Sr., 37, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Nov. 3.
An autopsy revealed that he had been shot 13 times in his driveway, allegedly by a man named Michael Williams. Simmons and Tennyson Sr. had been broken up at the time of his death.
Following his death, Simmons paid tribute to him on social media.
“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift,” Simmons wrote in a post to her followers. “I’m hurting. I’m numb. I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise.”
