Escape To the Chateau’s Dick Strawbridge has taken to Twitter to address a difference of opinion that he and his wife Angel Adoree have on one aspect of their French home, Château de la Motte-Husson. Taking to the micro-blogging platform, the father-of-four, 64, revealed that he and wife Angel, 43, disagree over how to maintain certain elements of their garden and grounds, after a fan asked for advice.

FYI Angela wouldn’t agree!!

In view of his 85,700 followers, the Channel 4 star shared some words of wisdom, but also admitted that his wife-of-seven-years would disagree with his views.

Dick wrote: “I would as I basically think of them as big weeds… but the roots are the big [problem].

“I’d cut down, dig up and replant and control…

“FYI Angela wouldn’t agree!!” (sic) he finished, defying his other half’s opinions on the matter.

The star was responding to a tweet from a fan who was looking for some gardening advice.

Twitter user @canonwilliams asked the former military man for his thoughts regarding a particularly overgrown tree.

They wrote: “dickstrawbridge hi, Dick.

“Can you coppice a 36ft eucalyptus tree?

“No branches below 7ft and want to reduce the size.

“Hope you don’t mind the Q,” (sic) they ended the post.

Following the query, the star’s fans weighed in on the debate in the comments section over whether the tree should be replanted or not.

Twitter users Lisa T and Angela both revealed how they agreed with Dick’s wife’s side of the argument.

However, social media user B&P wrote: “Interesting that men agree with you and the ladies side with Angel, as would my wife.

“In my experience women love tidy gardens but strangely don’t like giving bushes and trees haircuts,” they finished.

Dick’s helpful advice comes days after he and Angel announced their return to the UK to begin their new live show.

The stars will be touring the country for the next five weeks as they shared the “exciting” announcement with their followers.

They penned: “At long last, the opening night of the 2022 ‘Dare to Do It – So much more to say…’ tour is here!

“The Strawbridges are in Edinburgh and ready for the next 5 weeks touring the UK.

“We hope you’re excited as we are and we can’t wait to see some of you there!” they finished.

The Strawbridges also shared a picture of their set with their Instagram followers.
